Pairwork

Help with self-making.

Self-making is the work of living by your own values and intuition rather than by convention or other people’s expectations.

Who I coach

Anyone considering or undergoing a significant change in how they work, learn, or live. This includes a new career path or educational pursuit, relocation or travel plans, creative work, or personal development. As an identical twin, I specialize in supporting twins and other multiples facing challenges of identity and differentiation.

What to expect

The first step is a 30-minute consultation, where we talk about what you want from coaching and determine whether I’m the right fit for you and your goals.

Coaching begins with four one-hour sessions, held every two weeks. While I complete my training as a Board Certified Coach,1 all sessions are pro bono.

In the first session, we discuss where things stand for you in the present moment and what you want to accomplish. We build on that conversation in subsequent sessions, agreeing at the start what the focus of the hour will be. Before we finish, we go over some action steps for you to take before the next session. During the fourth meeting, we review your progress and decide whether to continue. I expect most coaching to run between four and twelve sessions.

Sessions are confidential.

About me

The coach, a man with short dark hair and a beard, in a dark blazer, smiling at the camera

I am a coach in training, working toward the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential. I’m also a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College, with the goal of becoming a licensed psychotherapist. I hold master’s degrees from the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University and the University of Massachusetts Boston. I spent 15 years in the investment industry prior to making a mid-career change into the coaching and mental health fields.

I write essays on twin experience, differentiation, and selfhood at pairwork.substack.com.

In addition to rec league baseball and hockey, my interests include music, fitness, travel, languages, literature, and theology.

A note on scope

Coaching is not therapy. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
